Significance of the International Space Station
For over 25 years, the International Space Station has served as a platform for continuous human habitation and work, facilitating significant advancements in scientific research that cannot be achieved on Earth. The ISS plays a crucial role in helping NASA tackle the challenges associated with human spaceflight, while also promoting commercial ventures in low Earth orbit. Furthermore, it lays the groundwork for future long-duration missions to the Moon and Mars, in alignment with the agency’s Artemis program.
