Local Authors Shine at Write Local Event
Last weekend, the Iredell County Public Library hosted its second annual Write Local: Annual Author Fair, showcasing the literary talents of writers from Iredell County and nearby areas. The event attracted a diverse audience of readers, authors, and community members, all celebrating local literature.
The fair featured a variety of authors representing numerous genres such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry, children’s literature, and local history. Attendees had the chance to engage with writers, explore new books, purchase signed copies, and discuss their creative processes with the authors.
Support for Aspiring Writers
In addition to author presentations, local writing groups and literary organizations offered resources for those looking to improve their writing skills. The fair created an environment of collaboration, with established authors like Brian C. Anderson sharing insights on their publishing journeys alongside first-time authors such as Jaymie Thomas, who celebrated their debut.
The Iredell County Public Library expressed its gratitude to all the authors and community members who participated in making the event a success. Plans for future literary programs and initiatives to support writers are already in progress.
Looking Ahead
Announcements regarding the next Write Local event are expected to be released soon, continuing the library’s commitment to fostering a vibrant literary community.
