NASA Prepares for MAX POWER Aerospace Expo
NASA has announced that its newest aerospace exhibition and air show, MAX POWER, will take place from November 6 to November 8 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The event is set to feature a range of activities aimed at showcasing advancements in aviation and space exploration.
Expo Highlights
Throughout the MAX POWER event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore various interactive experiences highlighting the latest in aircraft and autonomous technologies. NASA plans to exhibit its X-59 quiet supersonic aircraft, while partner organizations will present a variety of Moon rovers, spacecraft, and other innovative technology. This event also marks the conclusion of NASA’s Inspiration Tour, which included numerous flyovers to promote the agency’s aircraft fleet.
The public events are designed to be family-friendly, with gates opening at 9 a.m. EST on both November 7 and November 8. Attendees will have the chance to engage with astronauts, engineers, and other experts in the field.
Press Conference and Media Opportunities
NASA will provide multiple updates throughout the weekend, including a news conference scheduled for 5 p.m. on November 7, where the agency will share the latest developments regarding its Moon Base initiative, located near the lunar South Pole. This will be the first long-term outpost for lunar exploration.
Media credentialing for the event has closed, but approved media members can still request interviews with NASA officials. Space for the news conference is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Virtual participation is also an option for some media representatives.
