New Addition to Iredell County Sheriff’s Office
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has announced the addition of Deputy Eleanor Schoel, as welcomed by Sheriff Campbell. Schoel brings a strong educational background and practical experience to her new position.
Educational and Professional Background
Deputy Schoel holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Appalachian State University. In addition to her academic achievements, she completed Basic Law Enforcement Training at the university in 2024. Following her training, Schoel served two years as a sworn officer with the Appalachian State University Police Department, where she gained valuable law enforcement experience.
Internship Experience
Before officially joining the Sheriff’s Office, Schoel undertook an internship with the agency. This opportunity allowed her to familiarize herself with the department’s operations and culture, further preparing her for her full-time role.
Role in Community Policing
Deputy Schoel will be serving in the Patrol division as part of the Community Oriented Policing (COPS) Unit. The Sheriff’s Office expressed enthusiasm about her joining the team, looking forward to the contributions she will make in her new position.
