UNC Charlotte Invites Recipe Submissions for Holiday Dinner
UNC Charlotte is gearing up for its second annual holiday dinner and is encouraging members of the Niner Nation to contribute their cherished recipes and the stories behind them. This initiative aims to create a warm and festive atmosphere by highlighting the traditions that make family gatherings special.
Share Your Culinary Traditions
The university is seeking beloved dishes, whether they are standout side items or unforgettable desserts, that are staples at holiday celebrations. Those interested in participating can submit their recipes along with a personal narrative about their significance. Selected contributors will receive an invitation to a special dinner featuring Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber and Chartwells on November 9.
For those whose recipes are chosen, attendance is required from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on the day of the event, and participants should be prepared for photo and video opportunities.
Building a Digital Community Cookbook
In addition to the dinner, all submitted recipes will be included in “Shared Table,” a digital cookbook that aims to celebrate the diverse flavors and cultural backgrounds within the UNC Charlotte community. This project highlights the unique traditions that enrich Niner Nation.
Community members are encouraged to submit their holiday recipes by October 26 to contribute to this festive tradition that honors the culinary heritage of the university.
