We make mistakes sometimes, and when we do we correct them openly.
How to report an error
Email editor@thecharlottetribune.com with a link to the article, a description of what is incorrect and, if possible, a source that shows the correct information. We aim to respond within two business days.
How we correct
When we confirm an error, we update the article as soon as possible. For any significant correction, we add a note at the end of the article explaining what was changed and when. We do not quietly remove or rewrite material in a way that hides a mistake.
Unpublishing
In rare cases, such as legal or safety concerns, we may remove an article. We will consider every request on its merits.
